Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.
